Group Financial Accountant

Based in Hatfield, Hertfordshire our PE backed client are looking for a qualified accountant to join their team as Group Financial Accountant on a permanent basis, working a hybrid model with 3 days in the office and 2 from home, they also offer flexible hours where you can start and finish earlier.

This job would be suitable for a technically experienced ACA/ACCA qualified accountant who is looking to move out of practice and in to industry to be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality financial information, involving managing month-end processes, audits and treasury management as well as supporting budgetary and forecasting processes.

The successful individual will be highly analytical with good commercial and business awareness. You will be confident in communicating across all levels of the business, both verbal and written. Strong Excel skills are essential. IFRS and multi-currency reporting experience is desired. Must be able to do Preparation of the group's monthly and annual consolidations, both for management and statutory account purposes.

Job responsibilities:

• Preparation of the group's monthly and annual consolidations, both for management and statutory account purposes.
• Preparation of monthly submissions to Investors, and provision of commentary on the group's management results.
• Support the annual budget and quarterly reforecast preparation.
• Year-end statutory accounts preparation and liaising with auditors.
• Group treasury management, including preparation of cash forecast, and hedging.
• Accountability for all aspects of accounting/reporting for Head Office companies
• Preparation of VAT/tax returns for holding companies.
• Assist the Group Financial Controller liaise with insurers, tax, company secretarial, and legal advisors.
• Assist CFO on ad-hoc tasks/projects including corporate transactions and reorganisations.
