Group Financial Controller

Robert Half are working with a global listed mining organisation based in Central London, to recruit a Group Financial Controller for a 9-month role paying between £450-550/day inside IR35 (depending on experience).

The Role

As the Group Financial Controller, you would be supporting with:

• Preparation/co-ordination of statutory audited consolidated financial statements, manage the statutory external audit process
• Perform financial accounting for corporate entities within Oracle, including accounts payable, journals, intercompany entries, and currency revaluations as required.
• Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and supporting financial account workings for each company.
• Consolidate Group results within Oracle (or replacement ERP).
• Preparation and co-ordination of consolidated monthly management accounts.
• Provide treasury and cash management services to the Group, including weekly cash reporting
• Work with the CFO to review the resource requirements for the central finance team (accounting, reporting, control, treasury, tax)
• Ensure the timeliness and integrity of the Group's financial reporting and ensure compliance with reporting obligations, in coordination with the Group's auditors and CFO
• Establish, review and maintain management reporting and information systems and controls including the related IT infrastructure.
• Assist the CFO in the execution and communication of the Group's overall financial strategy to the Board, shareholders and analysts.

Your Profile

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) with experience working in a change environment
• Comfortable working as part of a small team (2-3 people), leading whilst remaining hands on
• Prior experience in a similar interim / contract role would be beneficial but not necessary.

Compensation & Benefits

As well as a salary of between £450-550/day inside IR35 (dependant on experience) the business offers hybrid working (2-3 days per week in the office) from their Central London office.

The company are looking to bring in staff who can bring a new set of eyes and different ways of thinking to improve their processes. Their Central London office is accessible from multiple transport hubs. They are working on a mostly remote basis with a hub in Central London.
