This is an exciting opportunity to join us as a Group Security Manager. You will be a key member of an agile, high performance team with a good reputation that drives the development, implementation and continuous improvement of Sky’s physical security strategy and supporting operations within the context of a modern media landscape.
- Liaise with a wide network of stakeholders, ensuring that they are provided with relevant, timely and accurate subject matter expertise which informs and directs business decisions and enables supporting operations.
- Drive successful security solutions across a broad range of businesses, including Productions; News; Home Service Engineers; Sports and more.
- Work closely with our Market security teams, ensuring good working relationships, clear and firm Governance support, guidance and collaboration to ensure a best-in-class security function across the Group.
- Lead and execute Sky’s executive, VIP & event protection programme including direct threats to staff. This will require routine engagement at multiple levels of the business including senior executives and their supporting staff.
- Responsibility for Sky’s Group High-Risk framework, providing day to day specialist safety & security subject matter expertise and support to business units conducting high-risk activity across the Globe. This will be done in full collaboration with impacted departments and other security teams across the Group.
- Work closely with business areas to inform risk assessments and provide risk mitigation, through security advice, logistics and vendor support, to enable the achievement of business goals by deployed Sky teams.
- Support security reviews (Supply Chain, Retail, Estate, Residence).
- You will be a key ally to other risk disciplines such as Health & Safety, Cyber Security, Operational Resilience, Legal & Compliance, and Insurance; ensuring the implementation of comprehensive security strategies.
- On occasion, deploy internationally including high-risk environments, supporting business partners with specialist security planning, advice and support. Grow institutional tacit knowledge and ensure that all policies and processes are based on truth and reflect the current risks within a modern media landscape.
- Willingness to work out of hours and weekends to provide advice, support and incident management support.
- Use the latest innovations in security thinking to deliver the best returns on investment for the business, including in areas like AI; automation; digitisation; analytics and intelligence.
- Promote a culture of business ownership of risk, providing the business with the right tools to manage it themselves but building capacity to step-in and provide hands-on support when needed.
- Own the end-to-end delivery of security projects, ensuring high standards and efficient project management in all deliverables.
- Collaborate with other team members within Group Security to contribute towards continuous improvement across the function.
- You will have the self-confidence, initiative and agility to deliver innovative security solutions, remaining proactive, independent and confident enough to challenge appropriately when needed.
- You will have international security experience including remote & complex operating environments preferably in a media/ production setting.

- Experience of undertaking security surveys across a broad range of assets, including residential properties.

- You’ll be a security subject matter expert, with a proven track record in security risk. Ideally, you’ll hold a security-related degree, and/or industry qualifications.

- You are client satisfaction-focused; a great relationship builder with business partners and ensure prompt, transparent, proactive, and effective communications with these partners; with an ability to influence stakeholders both internally and externally across all levels.
- The ideal candidate will be able to create impactful presentations which require little to no rework, possess a logical, methodical, analytical mindset, excellent problem-solving skills, ability to liaise comfortably with senior stakeholders and a passion for security.
