About the role
This role sits as part of the Group Finance team where you will be supporting the financial accounting and financial reporting for a complex and growing international business. This is a fast paced role, where you will have the opportunity to grow and develop your skills whilst adding value to the Group Finance team and reporting to the Senior Financial Controller.
What you’ll be doing
You will assist in preparation of the annual consolidated statutory financial statements under IFRS for companies within the Boldyn Global Group for review in a timely manner, where you will collaborate with a variety of stakeholders across the Group Finance teams.
Day to day you will also:
Assist in preparation of standalone statutory financial statements for overseas subsidiaries.
Assist in preparation of monthly/quarterly consolidated financial schedules under IFRS for companies within the Boldyn Global Group for internal and shareholder reporting purposes.
Liaise with financial reporting teams of subsidiaries within the UK and overseas to ensure that the information required for Group reporting is received in a timely manner.
Prepare and post recurring monthly journals for group holding companies.
Prepare month end reconciliations for group holding companies.
Liaise with subsidiary financial reporting teams to record intercompany transactions and prepare monthly reconciliations of intercompany balances.
Liaise with external auditors (Deloitte) to support the annual audit and effectively resolve any queries raised by the auditors.
Prepare and record accounting adjustments in the Boldyn Global Group accounting books that require local GAAP translation to IFRS, including:
Accounting for lease contracts held by all Global Boldyn Companies;
Accounting for derivative contracts across the Group;
Software SaaS costs capitalisation policy differences;
Historical fair value adjustments for fixed assets at the group level
There is lots to do and over the next 12 months you will be assisting in preparing the FY24 Group financial statements prepared under IFRS as well as assist in preparing the quarterly consolidations of the Boldyn Group for FY24 and H1FY25 including coordinating the FY24 annual audits.
What you’ll bring

Top Tier/Big 4 accounting firm trained and ACA/CA/ACCA qualification
Minimum 3-4 years’ post-qualification experience in a financial reporting environment
Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
Knowledge of consolidation principles with experience in monthly accounting close tasks an preparation of financial statements
Financial reporting and/or audit experience
ERP/ Financial Accounting system experience preferably with Workday
