Title: Group Tax Manager

Location: Central London, hybrid working options offered. (2/3 days WFH)
Salary: £75,000 - £80,000 (depending on experience) + bonus and benefits
The company:
Our client is a global marine services group headquartered in London, with operations across the world. They are currently hiring a Group Tax Manager to join their high performing finance team in central London.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the monthly and year-end Group Tax reporting process to ensure tax reporting requirements are met in a timely fashion
- Develop comprehensive understanding of accounting and reporting systems to ensure effective tax accounting and reporting
- Support the business with Group Tax cash flow, budgeting and forecasting
- Manage UK corporate, indirect tax and other compliance matters, liaising with Group Finance and other business functions as appropriate
- Support the local country finance teams with the delivery of local tax filings, including supporting group documentation, as required
- Assist the Head of Global Tax with the development and maintenance of the group’s transfer pricing policies and defence documentation, supporting the current tax strategy and commercial operating model across the group
- Ensure that transfer pricing policies are understood and properly implemented by the business
- Work with the Head of Global Tax to develop and maintain a robust tax governance, controls and risk mitigation framework ensuring tax controls are operated effectively
- Assist with updating tax policies and risk register
- Assist with the identification of potential risks and opportunities
- Support tax optimisation and business strategic initiatives, including ad hoc project and advisory work either international or UK focused dependent on need
- Proactively partner with the business to develop solutions and deliver commercially focused, practical tax advice across a range of business projects
- Identify potential tax transformation opportunities to drive process improvements and efficiencies where needed
- Improve data management and report automation through close collaboration with the business functions
Candidate Requirements:
- ACA/ACCA/CTA qualified
- Proven track record of managing and delivering Group Tax reporting within a multinational business
- Experience of international corporate tax
- A good understanding of the current international tax landscape
- Minimum 2 years’ post-qualification international tax experience, preferably within a multinational business
- Big 4 background advantageous though not essential
- Experience of international corporate tax
- Knowledge of current UK tax legislation
