Job description

About arena.online, Patch 🌱 and Arena Flowers 💐

arena.online is a young digital business that specialises in the delivery of flowers, plants and gifts. The company’s consumer division includes Patch Plants and Arena Flowers and, along with other brands it is in the process of developing, is focused on building best-in-class modern consumer brands and has a team to match that focus. This team’s work is a key strand of the wider business strategy with resources and great people behind it.

Patch is a modern plant shop, for modern plant people. Founded in 2016, Patch helps you discover the best plants for your space, delivers them to your door and helps you look after them. Having attracted over 500k customers with a 4.8/5 rating on Trustpilot and 300k plant fans on Instagram, we have twice been named the best plant delivery service by Good Housekeeping.

Founded in 2006, Arena Flowers is the UK’s most ethical florist, building a market-leading reputation for quality and ethics, recognised by the Ethical Company Index as number one in our industry for the last eight years in a row.

About the role

We’re looking for a hungry and passionate growth marketer to join our expanding team, working across two incredibly exciting brands as they scale over the coming years.

This is a highly data-driven and analytical role which allows you the opportunity to expand your knowledge and gain experience across multiple channels and platforms, driving incremental growth across brands that span different verticals and demographics, each with their own set of opportunities and challenges.

Day to day you will have the autonomy and flexibility to work on either brand. You could spend the morning briefing creatives and formats for Patch’s paid social campaigns and the afternoon A/B testing landing pages to improve Arena’s conversion rates.

The role will report into Jack Monaghan (Senior Digital Marketing manager at arena.online), but will work closely with the full consumer team, as well as regular contact with multiple external agencies and partners.

Requirements

The role is a key part of driving the growth of Patch and Arena Flowers 🚀. We are looking for someone keen to learn and hone their skillset as part of a dynamic team. Examples of key activities might include:

  • Build and optimise performance marketing campaigns across key platforms (E.g. Google / META), working with the wider business and agencies to find new opportunities to scale whilst improving core metrics like CPA / ROAS
  • Expand our CRM offering to drive lifetime value through engaging, timely and personalised customer interaction.
  • Work with our agency to develop and implement SEO strategies across both brands to drive organic visibility, improve keyword performance and increase website traffic
  • Drive growth and efficiencies through our affiliate channels
  • Improve conversion rate on-site / App by updating content and landing pages
  • Plan, run and report on Growth Marketing experiments
  • Working across a dynamic team of in-house experts and external partners

Experience and skills 🎯

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of experience driving growth through either biddable media platforms E.g. Google / META or other acquisition channels such as CRM / SEO / Affiliates etc.
  • Experience in a D2C / E-commerce / Start-up environment (preferred but not required)
  • Strong data analysis and Excel skills. You need to be able to manipulate and interpret data from multiple sources, analyse trends and communicate findings effectively
  • Proficiency with analytics and data visualisation tools E.g. GA4 / Lookr / Power BI
  • Autonomous and organised. The ability to effectively juggle multiple workflows effectively is key.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

About you

  • Above all - a growth mindset 🧠. You’re enthusiastic, committed to learning and passionate about building consumer products that people love
  • A genuine passion and interest in all things Marketing and E-commerce
  • Data-driven and results-focused approach to tackling problem solving
  • Able to respond positively to honest and supportive feedback
  • A love of plants, flowers, and/or interior design is an advantage, but not required
  • A team player and relationship builder. The consumer team is a tight-knit group with a start-up attitude, a supportive culture and a desire to win as a team, and we are looking for someone who would enjoy and thrive in this environment.

Benefits

We offer a number of team-wide benefits ☀️

  • Salary £30-£40k depending on your experience
  • 25 days’ holiday allowance (prorated)
  • Generous plant and flower allowance to help you bring your own home to life + friends & family discount
  • Regular team socials
  • Weekly team lunch
  • 2-3 days per week working in our beautiful London office
  • The rest of the week to work from wherever you feel most productive
  • For the right candidate, excellent progression and learning opportunities
  • Health insurance enrolment offered
  • Workplace Nursery Scheme to help parents save on their childcare

If there’s something that’s important to you that’s not on this list, let us know.
