We are seeking to fill a number of roles to help us deliver our new vision for Health and Adults Services (HAS), in our in-house provisions for adults with Learning disabilities and Autism.

You will receive a comprehensive induction into the requirements of the role and care staff will be expected to complete the 15 Care Certificate standards within 13 weeks as part of their probationary period.

We are seeking to fill the following vacancy:

Driver/Handy Person -Shared with Day Opportunities- 1x post 35hrs. Scale 6-£32'925-33'957

We are seeking a motivated and experienced individual who will be responsible for the maintenance, repair of our buildings and equipment. You will be required to promote good health and safety practices across Greenwich Living Options and Day Opportunities buildings and residential homes and undertake driving duties on occasion.

As the Driver, you will be responsible for the safe, comfortable, and punctual transportation of residents and staff in the Council vehicle. You will need to be able to demonstrate understanding of and the ability to implement relevant Health and Safety practices.

You will be required to manage your time effectively across the two services you will be supporting and have a positive and flexible aptitude to team working.

You will be responsible for contributing to the safeguarding of adults by ensuring you are aware of your role in relation to the homes and Day Opportunities safeguarding adults' policy, taking steps to protect residents from any form of abuse or neglect and use the appropriate reporting mechanisms to inform the relevant managers of any concerns.
