Live in or Live out Handyman/Maintenance Position, Buckinghamshire
A client of ours is looking for a Handyman/Maintenance person to look after an estate that compromises 12 properties in the Buckinghamshire area with 1 property in London. You will be reporting to the Housekeeper who is responsible for the properties.
You will work within a large team of staff including another Handyman/Maintenance person, a couple, cleaners, gardeners etc.
Responsibilities:
To notify security of contractors coming on site.
Regular visiting and maintaining the properties alongside another handyman
DIY and decorating, Plumbing, Tiling
Reading meters & service boilers
Liaising with outside contractors
Scheduling. swimming pool cleans
Arranging emergency repairs to gas, electricity, water, security, and gate systems.
Arrange pest control measures as and when required
Straight-forward carpentry and furniture assembly (flat pack items). Carpentry skills would be a bonus
Keeping gutter and rainwater drains clear
Pressure washing paved areas
Sundry external repairs
Making sure the properties are ready for the family's arrival
If no maintenance is identified then you are to assist with weekly dusting, vacuuming, and running water to all outlets, including cisterns in all properties when unoccupied.
To ensure that swimming pools are clean and fit for use by the family by using external contractors.
Arrange and manage contractors to serve boilers, pumps, electrics, air conditioning units, etc
To respond to the gate intercom
Arranging for window cleaning of the aforementioned properties in conjunction with the Housekeeper.
Coordinating maintenance, refurbishment, and redevelopment works with approved suppliers and controlling progress on such works after approval by the Managing Director.
Occasionally acting as a chauffeur for family members when they are in the UK as and when required.
The ideal candidate will have a knowledgeable understanding of the heating, hot water, and pump systems in each property in order for them to be maintained in an ideal operating environment. You will be trustworthy, reliable, discreet, and have hands-on experience and high standards. Driver is essential.
Days and Hours: Monday to Friday - 35 hours a week (Family not in residence Oct-May)
Monday – Saturday lunchtime (on call) June – Sept – longer hours expected
Accommodation: 2 bed flat on estate. No pets

Salary: Depending on experience and if live in or out
