Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Head Chef to join our team. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kitchen and leading a team of culinary professionals. This is a full-time position in the hospitality industry.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise Junior Chef, including training in preparing complex marinades, concentrated stock, herbs and spice blends and ingredient fusions according to requirements
- Planning, cooking and executing menus made to order authentic frontier, ensuring high-quality food production
-Planning of season dishes, specials and consistent quality checks on food
- Monitor food preparation, presentation, and portioning to maintain consistency and quality
- High level of creativity and competency in the preparation of authentic Nepalese cuisine
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations
- Collaborate with restaurant management to develop new dishes and improve existing recipes
- Maintain inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Manage kitchen budget and control costs
- Provide leadership and guidance to kitchen staff, fostering a positive work environment
- Adept in handling , care and maintenance
Skills:
- Knowledge of English
- Extensive experience in a professional Nepalese and Newari kitchen environment
- Strong culinary skills with a focus on authentic Nepalese and Newari food preparation techniques
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Excellent leadership abilities, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality dishes
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
