We are looking for a Head of Business Intelligence to join our expanding team. At the center of our data strategy we have a simple goal, to gain deep insights into our data to support our strategic decisions.

The Head of Business Intelligence will lead our analytics operations, be responsible for managing our data ecosystem, developing comprehensive analytics frameworks, and generating actionable insights to guide decision-making across the business. This role requires a unique blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and leadership skills to effectively harness the power of data. You’ll establish a Business Intelligence centre of excellence, championing best practices, standardisation and governance in Business Intelligence and data analytics.

You will be instrumental in managing our data and insight projects from conception to completion. You will be responsible for attending meetings, creating development specifications, and owning the Data and Insight roadmaps, ensuring they are always current and aligned with our business goals, and you will work closely alongside multiple steakholders across multiple departments.

Major Duties:

  • Designing, maintaining, and troubleshooting Tableau/Data systems
  • Lead on analytics, in the design, development, and deployment of sophisticated analytical models and data-driven solutions.
  • Analyse complex datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and insights that inform strategic decisions.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams and senior leadership to understand business needs and deliver data-driven recommendations and reports.
  • Continuously explore new technologies, methodologies, and best practices in data analytics to enhance the businesses capabilities.
  • Working with stakeholders to understand business challenges and extend the availability and effective use of data to inform decisions.
  • Manage the organisation's data architecture, including data models, data integration, and the creation of a modern data warehousing solution.
  • Oversee the BI environment, including user access, permissions, data sources, and workspaces, optimising performance, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring compliance with security and governance policies.
  • Establish and maintain data governance policies, procedures, and standards to ensure data quality, accuracy, security, and compliance
  • Defining, promoting, and enforcing best practice, standards, and governance frameworks for Business Intelligence, data analysis and self-service.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in data analytics/Business Intelligence
  • Previous experience in a leadership position within Business Intelligence or related areas, with knowledge of data warehousing, data visualisation and data governance
  • Proven expertise in data modelling, statistical analysis, and the use of analytics and visualisation tools (e.g., SQL, Python, R, Tableau, Power BI)
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing, ETL processes, and cloud-based data analytics platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure)
  • Experience of building powerful dashboards using BI software
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven track record of effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
