Bracknell Forest’s People Directorate has a new exciting opportunity to recruit to a Head of Client Affairs: Adult Social Care in the Commissioning Service as part of the wider People Directorate
The Client Affairs team covers financial assessments, direct payments, deputyship and debt within Adult Social Care. The team are skilled at providing a holistic and person-centred service, which focuses on consistent and high quality outcomes for people.
As a Head of Service working in a fast-paced environment, you will be responsible for supporting the team to ensure they are compliant with all legislation whilst providing a professional and supportive service to both the people we support and the operational teams.
We are constantly looking at ways we can work SMARTER and to support individuals in an empathetic and understanding manner will be vital in the role. The role will be supporting our front-line services ensuring that innovative tools and technology are used effectively when delivering services.
Working with several stakeholders across the council will mean a better service and outcomes for individuals of Bracknell.

The role is responsible for a team of 9 who provide vital financial support for our Adult Social Care clients. The team focus on providing excellent service to clients, and by working closely together, we are there to support each other.
The role will be challenging but there will be satisfying outcomes. Each day will be different and your workload will be mixed, and you will be supported by the core ethos and values of the team.
You will be supported to carry out the following duties, responsibilities and training…
- Develop and implement financial strategies, procedures and processes that align with the department's goals and objectives.
- Provide visionary leadership to the Client Affairs team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation and continuous improvement.
- Analysing, developing and improving system processes and solutions to meet business requirements across all Social Care Finance and System teams
- The post holder will be the Council’s expert in relation to ContrOCC; determining strategies, policies and processes, and assessing the impact of internal and external changes.
- Accountable for the strategic governance and operational leadership that the service meets the current and future business needs of the Council commitments and the Council strategic business plans priorities.
