THE ROLE – WHAT YOU’LL DO
The Marketing and Communications Executive is a 9-month funded placement opportunity where you will have the chance to gain experience working with our Fundraising and Supporter Marketing teams.
The types of activities you might be involved in include:
- Developing marketing briefs
- Supporting the development of online and offline activities to support fundraising
- Learning how we decide our audience, what channels e.g. Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, work best and how we measure success
- Providing administrative support including setting up and supporting meetings
- Building your relationship management skills and understanding the importance of fundraising within a charity
You’ll work part of your time at home and part of the time from our Head Office based in Grantham, Lincolnshire. The frequency of time spent in your contracted office will vary across teams and job roles.
THE PERSON – WHO YOU ARE
You will have:
- A keen interest in developing marketing and communications skills
- Good written communication skills
- A keen interest in learning and developing new ideas, working with others to bring them to life
- Experience of using Microsoft Word and email with the ability to use IT and learn new tools with support
- The ability to voice your opinion and give feedback in a professional manner
- A passion for the environment
You will be:
- Organised and able to pick up new skills quickly
- Able to build relationships with people easily
- Able to work independently and as part of a team

WHAT YOU’LL LEARN
- An introduction to Marketing and Communications, learning how to write marketing briefs and how to develop ideas that promote our fundraising activities.
Additional Requirements:
- You’ll be aged between 18 – 24 years old
- You’ll be based in North England (North West, Yorkshire & Humber and North East)
- You must be able to start employment with us between 13th and 17th May 2024
- You must be out of employment, education and training
