Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen in a global market leader for a Head of Commercial Sales. This role is a newly created role with plenty of potential to bring creative ideas and strategic plans to the business. In order to be successful in this role you will have experience of project management, demonstrable experience of sales in corporate events and ability to communicate at all levels. Day to day responsibilities: Developing and building strong relationships with new and existing businesses primarily in the Corporate Events market to secure and develop new business. Furthering relationships with National and International brands active in the high-end events market and their chosen production companies/agencies. Representing the company either on a one-to-one basis or at industry events and networking sessions. Maintain a close overview of all activities being managed by the account and projects teams, with a particular focus on the quality of internal briefing and the successful delivery of key campaign/projects/events. Timely and accurate forecasting of revenues in all clients. Be the primary point of escalation for client issues. Manage and support the client acquisition and retention phase. Keep the Commercial and Projects Director abreast of activities and maintain accurate details of meetings and other movements in. Play an active part in sales meetings and working with the Sales Team in planning, managing, and delivering open days, exhibitions and other lead generation activities. Developing tools and messaging to enable Project and Account Managers can identify new opportunities for cross and up-selling It is expected that you will spend a significant amount of time away from the office and will be involved in travel often at short notice or at weekends. You will also be expected to travel overseas. Skills required: Proven success in your business development ability and demonstrable full knowledge of processes involved, from understanding client requirements and meeting specifications through to delivery. Established and proven track record of successful client acquisition, retainment, and development Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to develop positive relationships internally and externally. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to plan and prioritise work to meet client and business needs. Commercially astute, understand how to drive revenue and profit as well as negotiation and contract closing skills A 'can do' attitude always focused on getting the job done to the highest standards possible An excellent communicator with superb presentation skills Ability to manage and maintain accurate and accessible tailored documentation i.e. presentations / proposals to meet clients' needs. Ability to work at pace whilst maintaining great attention to detail.
