Job description

Notting Hill & Ealing High School, one of London’s leading independent girls’ day schools, has an exciting opportunity for an inspirational teacher to lead a flourishing English Department in both its curricular and extra-curricular activities.

The successful candidate will teach English throughout the Senior School, including GCSE, A Level and Oxbridge preparation.

We are looking for a well-qualified and enthusiastic teacher of English, with a passion for the subject and excellent subject knowledge to lead this thriving and popular department.

This role is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to make the move into a Head of Department role or gain further leadership experience.

If you are a good communicator who can enthuse and inspire both pupils and colleagues and have exciting ideas about the teaching of English, and the ways in which they can be further developed and encouraged, we would be delighted to hear from you.

Teaching at NHEHS

“Teaching here is all about being able to have in-depth conversations with students about your subject and helping to enthuse them with the same passion as you have. Teaching at NHEHS is exactly what I imagined teaching would be like when I got my first teaching job; it’s what teaching should be!”

- Head of Department
