THE ROLE

They are now looking for a Head of Events to lead the team and duties will include:

• Managing the strategy for the events side of the business
• Managing key accounts and developing existing client relationships
• Being a central point of contact for clients
• Operational responsibility for cornerstone events
• Directing the team and delegating appropriately
• Liaise with the sales and marketing teams to drive revenue
• Recruitment, training and appraisals
• Representing the venue at industry events
• Delivering event briefings and planning meetings when required
• Giving operational direction to event staff and creating rotas
• Enhancing and developing internal systems and processes

THE CANDIDATE

Candidates will have a solid background in an events role, ideally in a medium or large venue. The ideal candidate will have proven management experience and be confident in building relationships with clients and internal teams. Candidates with a proven background of driving forward event strategy and building accounts would be preferred. What is most important is that candidates have a strong work ethic, an eye for detail and “can do” attitude.
