Head Of Finance

Morgan Hunt are currently recruiting for a Director of Finance near Manchester on a full time permanent basis with College. This Director of Finance role is paying up to £75,000 per annum.

The Director of Finance will need to advise and support in overseeing the financial management and strategic planning of the organisation and forecasting. The ideal candidate has strong education experience and have responsibility for other areas of the organisation.

Main Responsibilities of the Finance Business Partner:

• Work collaboratively with the principal and other senior staff in all financial operations, budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting.
• Formulate short- and long-term financial strategies.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to the finance team, keeping in line with a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure other functions (MIS and Estates) are making a positive impact on the core business of the organisation.
• Ensure all systems are maintained and up to date
• Develop and implement budgeting and forecast system for the wider organisation.

Person Specification of the Finance Business Partner:

• Hold a relevant degree or professional qualification from recognised accountancy bodies (e.g., CIMA/ACCA/CIPFA/ ICAEW)
• Extensive management experience.
• Understanding of safeguarding Children and Vulnerable Adults
• Further Education experience
• Strategic and analytical skills, with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights.
• Exhibit an understanding of risks and utilise financial and business intelligence for risk management and mitigation.
• Communicate effectively across various stakeholder levels.
• Perform well under pressure and meet deadlines during peak periods.
• Display confidence in independent work while also being collaborative and proactive.
