SRM are exclusively recruiting for a Head of Finance ( ACA / ACCA / CIMA ) with a household name in the leisure and travel industry.

You will play a pivotal role in driving financing initiatives critical to the business's strategic and commercial success. Collaborating closely with the MD, you will maximize commercial opportunities while seamlessly integrating financial considerations. Your responsibilities encompass aligning financing strategies with broader Group objectives, ensuring a harmonious balance between strategic vision and financial feasibility.

As the primary steward of financial leadership, your remit extends to various facets Of Finance, including strategic planning, budget management, and performance evaluation. Spearheading the development of a comprehensive 5-year strategic plan, you will navigate budgetary requirements, make informed decisions on capital investments, and conduct rigorous performance evaluations.

Beyond finance, you will also oversee legal aspects and drive transformation and change initiatives, amplifying your influence and impact across organizational dimensions.

About The Role

• Strategic Business Partnering: Collaborate closely with the MD to maximize commercial opportunities and key strategic initiatives, including Financing.
• Strategic Planning: Lead the development of a future vision by spearheading the 5-year planning and strategy process, with a strong emphasis on financing aspects.
• Cost Efficiency and Revenue Growth: Cultivate a culture of cost efficiency by identifying and recommending opportunities to improve financial performance through revenue growth and prudent cost management.
• Financing Strategy: Develop and execute financing strategies that align with strategic objectives, ensuring access to necessary capital for growth.
• Budget Management: Oversee the functional budgeting process, ensuring robust financing assumptions in line with strategic goals.
• Reporting Activities: Responsible for monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting, including full financial statements, balance sheet numbers (IFRS), and comprehensive Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reporting.
• Cash Flow Management: Manage cash flow and reporting systems in line with Group needs, improving treasury activities and establishing a reliable Cash Flow FC management system.
• Financial Controls and Compliance: Promote a culture of strong financial controls, compliance, and adherence to regulatory frameworks, vital for financing topics.
• P&L Ownership: Assume ownership of the Profit and Loss (P&L) statement, driving high performance and effectively managing financing aspects.

About You

• Seasoned financial qualified professional ACA/ACCA/CIMA with substantial post-qualification experience
• Demonstrated success in managing substantial P&L, with revenue/costs exceeding €500 million
• Strategic thinker, adept at integrating financing considerations into business success
• Influential leader with gravitas and credibility across all levels of the organization
• Proven track record of improving profitability through strategic financing decisions
• Exceptional communicator, capable of delivering impactful presentations and interpreting complex financial data
• Skilled in building strong internal and external relationships, emphasizing the importance of financing topics
• Proficient in financial modeling and analysis, with expertise in advising on complex financing matters
