Job Description:
As the Head of Finance - PCF 11 for ACE Money Transfer in Dublin, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the financial operations of the organization. This position reports directly to the CEO in Ireland, working with Group internal partners, and requires a seasoned finance professional with a deep understanding of regulatory frameworks, financial reporting, and strategic financial management.
Responsibilities:
- Financial Leadership:
- Provide strategic financial leadership and contribute to the development of financial goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with senior management to formulate financial policies and ensure their implementation.
- Financial Planning and Analysis:
- Lead the financial planning and forecasting processes to support business decision-making.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Serve as the PCF 11 designated person, ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory requirements.
- Stay informed about changes in financial regulations and implement necessary adjustments to policies and procedures.
- Financial Reporting:
- Oversee the preparation and presentation of accurate and timely financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with Central Bank of Ireland reporting requirements, International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and other applicable accounting standards.
- Financial Risk Management:
- Identify and assess financial risks across the business, implementing effective risk mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with other departments to integrate risk management into business processes and drive revenue optimization.
- Audit Coordination:
- Manage the audit process, liaising with external auditors to ensure a smooth and efficient audit cycle including client funds safeguarding and cost management.
- Implement audit recommendations and improvements to internal controls.
- Budget Management:
- Develop and manage the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads to align financial goals with overall business objectives.
- Monitor budget performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Master's degree and professional certifications (e.g., ACCA, CPA) are highly desirable.
- Proven experience in a senior finance role with exposure to international financial operations.
- In-depth knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements, particularly in the context of PCF 11 responsibilities. Being a past or current PCF 11 role holder is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide strategic financial guidance, excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in the fintech or financial services industry is a plus.
