SalaryOverseeing the day to day processes of the transactional areas of Finance including the General Ledger (GL), Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and Payroll Teams. This is a critical role based at the London Head office, reporting into the Group Financial Controller. The role is sitting at the heart of the Finance function, in a growing, global business.
This role would suit a technically strong, qualified accountant looking for an opportunity to manage a team and take ownership of the General Ledgers of the Group and transactional finance teams.
- Leading the day to day operations of the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll and general ledger teams. Ensuring that the team has the resouces and capacity to succeed and that colleagues in the team have the guidance and development support they need to thrive.
- Management of the intercompany team to ensure that balances are reconciled at the end of each month end. Analyse Intercompany on a regular basis and manage repatriation of cash back to group by way of intercompany clear downs.
- Management of general ledger related activities and manage and coordinate general ledger reporting requirements.
- Management of month end close activities and opening activities.
- Working with the Group Financial Controller to ensure adequate financial controls are in place and helping with control improvements.
- Support ongoing system and process improvements
- Review month end reconciliations and ensuring the team are up to date with these and other outstanding issues for month end and year end requirements.
- Ensuring the team are upto date with supplier statement reconciliations.
- Reviewing Aged Creditor reports
- Reviewing Aged Debtor reports
- Monitoring and review of duty to report supplier payment reporting and help driving improvements in this area.
- Act as an ambassador for the finance team and partner effectively with all internal and external stakeholders.
- Support with the year end audit
- Support team with training and development.
- Support with ad hoc queries and resolving issues.
