Head Of Fx Data Strategy (Hybrid)

Description

• Define and lead a multi-year data infrastructure, management and analytics strategy for Foreign Exchange (FX) in collaboration with Sales, Trading and Technology.
• Drive innovation and process improvement for the FX product suite through more effective use of data analytics, deployment of new technologies and process re-engineering.
• Define and implement a consistent approach to the collection, management and storage of data across the whole of our FX business.
• Develop robust controls and governance processes on our data management, storage, access, use, and delivery.
• Identify the power data can have for stakeholders across FX and translate that into a business strategy that aligns all of our team

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

• Proactively engage with the wider business to define and establish an FX wide Data Strategy that will support our future
• Ensure all data governance standards and industry standards are appropriately implemented, developing guidelines and standards for the business
• Collaborate with solution architects, global practice leads, product owners, and data governance to ensure the FX data infrastructure is built in alignment with our broader Citi strategy and standards
• Work to streamline processes and reduce technical debt
• Create a high performing team over time, that supports the strategic vision and increases value for the organization.
• Use industry best practices to define the framework to ensure the business is not exposed to any data risks, and be the technical authority on data infrastructure

Experience, Skills and Qualifications

• Highly motivated individual with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize shifting workloads in a rapidly changing business.
• The role requires deep understanding of data architecture and data management principles and practices, as well as experience of working with large datasets and complex data structures
• Strong knowledge of data engineering practices, including an understanding of data warehouses , low latency messaging technologies/data distribution and data visualisation tools
• Strong understanding of available technologies and solutions within data processing , warehousing and analytics space
• Strong track record in implementation of strategies with scalable, multidimensional data integrations and actionable insights
• Experience across all pillars of data including reference data management, architecture and warehousing, distribution, governance, visualisation and advanced analytics
• Inspiring leader committed to our long-term strategic goals including Equality, Diversity and Inclusion
• Ability to operate and build consensus with senior stakeholders
• Effective communicator that can collaborates with people from various teams across multiple geographies
