Head of Governance and Compliance (King’s Lords Remembrancer and Treasurer)
About the Role:
We are looking for an accomplished and enthusiastic person to join our team in the King’s Lords Treasurer and Remembrancer. This is a specialised service which focuses on dealing with ownerless property in Scotland, including having overall responsibility for the Scottish Treasure Trove system.
As our Head of Governance and Compliance you will take full responsibility for managing, developing and growing our policies and processes, fostering a culture of growth and collaboration. This will include assessing, mitigating and monitoring risks as well as ensuring that KLTR adheres to relevant guidance under the Freedom of Information Scotland Act and Data Protection Law.
This is a key leadership position within KLTR in which you will be working closely with the Chief Executive, annual accounting board, Head of Finance and external organisations such as Audit Scotland and the Information Commissioners Office driving continuous improvement, delivering a programme of work that enhances structures and information flows to inform good decision making and establish the Service as a leader in good Governance and Compliance practice.
