Location wise, it's North Leicester, so, really commutable from South Nottingham too, especially from West Bridgford, Ruddington and surrounding areas. You'll be there in less than 30 mins from there.
The principal function of the role is to oversee the Group’s consolidated balance sheet and P&L, ensuring smooth and efficient delivery of information to all internal and external stakeholders throughout the financial calendar from across all trading entities, and provide commercial insight to the management team.
Reporting to the Finance Director, the individual in this role will lead the Group’s central accounting function, managing the appropriate audit processes and take ownership of the tax and technical accounting matters of the Group. The role is a key member of the senior management team, and will lead a team of 9 colleagues, requiring the individual to consistently strive for improvements across all areas of financial planning and reporting, driving profitability and return on capital employed forward.
To be successful in this role, the individual must work closely with the other heads of Finance in order to understand the risks, challenges and opportunities across the department and the wider business, pro-actively supporting in driving improvements. The individual in this role will have the opportunity to deputise for the Finance Director when appropriate.
We are looking for a qualified accountant with at least 5 years PQE ideally in a large co PLC or Private Equity environment.
