Job description

One of Europe's leading partners for retailers and brands alike is looking for a VP of People and Culture to drive the future of the UK and Eastern European operations. You will be a thought leader, someone prepared to challenge the status quo and a HR professional who has introduced a variety of people-focused initiatives both in attraction and retention.
 
BASIC SALARY: £85,000 - £95,000
 
BENEFITS:
· Car allowance - £7,440 p/a
· 6% Contributory ension

· Up to £20,000 bonus

LOCATION: Based at the Head Office in Hertfordshire, you'll be required to make monthly/quarterly visits to other sites in, Buckinghamshire, Yorkshire, Kent and 3x Baltic sites. There will also be occasional travel to international locations.
 
COMMUTABLE LOCATIONS: Aylesbury, Northampton, Milton Keynes, Cambridge, Luton, Oxford, Watford, High Wycombe, or Reading would all be ideal.

JOB DESCRIPTION:Head of HR / VP of People and Culture
 
To provide strategic people and culture initiatives that align with global business needs, whilst being tailored to the site/country demands. You will own and drive the people agenda, being a key part of, and work closely with the SLT (across both the UK and Baltic sites)to ensure a consistent message to the wider business.
 
Key tasks:
· Reporting to the Chief Sustainability and People Office, you will draw down global initiatives and implement them at a local level.
· You will be visible and approachable, engaging with the shop floor through to the various business unit's leadership teams.
· Create and implement a long-term strategy that contributes to the business becoming 'best in class for its people.
· Analyse, review and make recommendations on the current Comp and Bens, L&D offering.
· Leading your team of 4 (2x UK, 2x Baltics) in modernising and breathing new life into some of our ways of working and processes.
 
PERSON SPECIFICATION:Head of HR / VP of People and Culture
 
You will have previously championed people, culture, and well-being, and consistently generated methods to engage with, promote, train, and develop a workforce. You will be fully CIPD qualified, with an inquisitive nature for change, and you will be well versed in staying up to date with modern technology and methodologies that could affect/benefit your people and the business.
 
You will most likely have:
· A proven track record across a variety of industries.
· A commercial approach to HR ensuring the balance between operational needs and people wellness.
· The ability to demonstrate initiatives you have implemented and the results they have produced.
· Worked with a global matrix organisation, being aware of the opportunities and the challenges this brings.
