Oakleaf Partnership are working with a privately-owned organisation within the care and education sector. They are currently recruiting for a Head of HR to manage a small team and have overall responsibility for the HR function in a role that will be 80% operational and 20% strategic. This is an incredibly fast-paced, process-driven and highly regulated industry and the organisation are going through a busy and complex period. The role is office-based in Cheadle, Stockport.
What is the role?
As the Head of HR, you will work closely with the CEO and Board of Directors in a generalist capacity and take overall management responsibility of the HR department. You will ensure that the strategic vision and qualitative objectives are implemented throughout the organisation, whilst developing relationships and partnerships with stakeholders and external agencies. You will oversee a compliant learning & development offering, lead on the recruitment strategy and oversee employee engagement and retention strategies. You will also develop and implement an HR manual to empower managers to deal with low level HR challenges.
Candidate profile/experience
The successful candidate will have previous experience in an HR Manager/Head of HR role and have knowledge of highly-regulated industries. You will have high levels of resilience, the ability to work under pressure with a strong work ethic. You will have previous experience managing a small team within an SME environment. You will be committed to delivering business objectives and be prepared to work in the office full time.
