Head Of It

We have a fantastic opportunity for a new Head of IT to join our team and manage our busy and successful department. We are looking for someone who has the ability to lead a team and deliver a fantastic customer experience alongside achieving targets.

The main purpose of this role is to manage, maintain and develop the Group IT Systems, infrastructure and telecoms. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in managing IT operations, including development of new projects and transformation, infrastructure, cyber security, networking, application support, and helpdesk services.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage the day-to-day management of the IT Department including staff management, training, development and appraisals.
• To develop and oversee a highly efficient fault resolution system to improve response time and communication.
• Identify, research and propose potential software and systems that would benefit the Group’s operational aims.
• Enhancement of Group systems to deliver operational strategies.
• Maintain all IT and Telecoms hardware and infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain relationships with all manufacturers and key partners’ IT functions.
• Develop, document and maintain full disaster recovery processes for all key systems.
• Maintain full audit records of all IT hardware owned or operated within the Dick Lovett Group.
• Improve and maintain aesthetics of all IT working areas including comms rooms and offices.

Key Qualities:

• People Management – experience of people management, ability to motivate and manage individuals and the team.
• Communication – ability to communicate effectively at all levels and via all mediums. Explain and present IT in a relatable way.
• Planning and foresight – ability to plan ahead and proactively look to the future to identify potential software and systems that would benefit the Group.
• Technical Knowledge – a sound technical IT background, with working knowledge and experience of key systems and software and networks.
• Project management – ability to scope, plan and communicate projects to deliver on time and within budget.
• Cyber Security – Thorough understanding and experience of mitigating cyber security threats.

Essential Qualifications:

• Strong background in IT operations, with experience in a leadership role
• Proven Experience in a leadership role within a customer operations or customer service environment
• Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to effectively lead and inspire team
• Excellent knowledge of customer service tools and technologies
• Full UK Driving Licence
