The role
This is a highly exciting opportunity to build a vibrant new national coordinating Hub and national ‘community forum’ for the UK’s longitudinal population studies. Through this, you will enable a multidisciplinary team of directors and theme leads support this fascinating form of scientific endeavour which sits at the intersection of biomedical, social and environmental sciences. You will be expected to co-develop the Hub model and establish its operating processes from scratch. You will work at a national level, providing operational management of the Population Research UK (PRUK) initiative for coordinating the enhancement and connectivity of the UK’s longitudinal research infrastructure with the countries longitudinal studies through a Hub and Spoke model.
What will you be doing?
You will have responsibility for all operational management of the Hub, managing the Hub team of communication and technical experts, leading on delivery, reporting and financial management. This will include: (1) designing and overseeing the development of UK-wide funding calls and management of the subsequent funding lifecycle including awards, project oversight and managing reporting; (2)You will coordinate the development of a vibrant, interdisciplinary and pan-UK longitudinal research community providing value and motivation to all studies – from the largest to the smallest.
