We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as the Head of Policy and Strategic Partnerships.

In this challenging and influential role, you will be instrumental in shaping the strategic direction of the council that will shape the organisation and the city in the future. Understanding wider economic, environmental, and social trends, you’ll build effective working relationships between the council and key regional, national and international organisations that are developing innovative policy and support the council’s senior leaders to develop policy and approaches that puts us at the forefront of opportunities.

Leading horizon scanning across national and regional policy to understand the impacts on the city and our residents, you will also represent the council at local, regional and national levels and promote partnership working across the region.

Adept at building and managing successful relationships with stakeholders you will have an in-depth understanding of the public policy context in which the Council operates, where and how this interacts with our key partners.

 You will help facilitate the environment and conditions for meaningful collaboration across our strategic partnership networks, bringing a range of disparate partners to the table with enthusiasm and the will to work together to identify opportunities to deliver real and lasting change.
