Job description

With new investment and new owners, we are looking for a Head of Sales, to grow and develop our customer base. As a specialist Contract Electronics Manufacturer (CEM) and PCB Assembly business, we work across a variety of industries. Based in Cambridgeshire this is a national role that will progress to General Manager.
 
BASIC SALARY: £60,000 - £70,000

LOCATION: Cambridge
 
COMMUTABLE LOCATIONS: You will need to be in the office 1 or 2 days per week, therefore you you'll most likely be based in the East Midlands. You could live, Peterborough, Northampton, Bedford, Stevenage, Leicester, Milton Keynes, Bishop Stortford, etc.

JOB DESCRIPTION:Head of Sales / Strategic Sales Manager - Contract Electronics Manufacturing
 
As the Head of Sales / Strategic Sales Manager, you'll be a pivotal part of our Senior Management Team (including finance and production) and be responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies to increase revenue, margin, and market share.
 
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:Head of Sales / Strategic Sales Manager - Contract Electronics Manufacturing
 
Both office and remotely-based, with extensive UK field travel, your duties & accountabilities will include:
· Identify new business opportunities to cultivate, develop and maximise relationships with potential customers.
· Lead, manage, and coach a team of 2 internal sales account managers.
· Develop and maintain strong relationships with 3 key existing customers (c£4m in revenue).
· Work closely with our marketing function, to develop and execute marketing campaigns.
· Collaborate with the production team to secure opportunities arising from client new product introductions.
· Responsibility for developing & improving internal tools & processes that support successful sales activity.
· Provide regular reports on sales performance and market trends.
 
PERSON SPECIFICATION :Head of Sales / Strategic Sales Manager - Contract Electronics Manufacturing
 
To be successful in your application, you will have the ability to listen and learn to what has worked in the past, coupled with the commercial awareness in understanding what is demanded by today's customers. You'll be able to demonstrate previous action plans and strategies you have developed and implemented to successful outcomes.  
 
You will have:
· A proven track record of commercial success within sales and business development, ideally from a CEM environment although we would encourage applications from other outsourced contract manufacturing, industrial components or possibly other technical sales.
· Strategic selling skills, including the development and execution of a 1 - 3-year business plan.
· Proven people-focused leadership style.
· Highly collaborative; a strong communicator who is skilful at interacting with customers, peers, and an established team.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
