The business is a privately owned and operated regulated financial services provider, offering a highly tailored service to consumers planning to achieve their long-term financial goals. Based in Teesside, the close-knit team of c50 colleagues together deliver great outcomes for their customers via their own branded, high touch, service-oriented process. With the business seeking to develop further growth opportunities in its’ successful core B2C business, further growth has been targeted via exciting plans to develop their growing B2B service offering within the Financial Services market also. The opportunity has now arisen for the right Head of Sales to join the business and lead the core B2C Financial Planning team as part of the execution of those dual strategic goals.
The Head of Sales will play a key role in driving the day-to-day delivery of the core service to customers. Leading a team of qualified and part-qualified professional Financial Planners, you will ensure that customers experience a consistent, high-quality service – from initial enquiry onwards. Working closely with your team, you will ensure that the company’s service offerings are consistently articulated and delivered, professionally and to the required regulatory standards. You will work closely with Marketing colleagues in particular to ensure a consistent flow of quality new enquiries to ensure that the Financial Planning team are fully engaged in delivering relevant products and services to the company’s target customer base. You will be an experienced commercial leader with relevant B2C services experience (Financial Services experience would be ideal but applicants with relevant B2C service provision experience would be also be welcomed). You will apply your expertise to the role in leading your team and in developing their commercial skills to deliver against the company’s growth objectives. This is essentially a sales management role in a soft sales customer environment, focusing on satisfying customer’s needs. Key Deliverables:
- Drive the B2C growth plan by leading the Financial Planner team to KPI success
- Ensure the consistent delivery of the customer journey from initial enquiry to customer plan execution
- Review and refine core customer journey processes to be correctly focused to deliver commercial goals
- Lead your team in achieving targeted income levels from both new and existing customers
- Develop appropriate sales initiatives to optimise growth opportunities for the core B2C service offering
- Work closely with Marketing to execute plans and effective campaigns to drive overall revenue growth
- Actively support the delivery of marketing events and further initiatives to grow the sales pipeline
- Manage and maintain effective relationships with functional colleagues as part of the SLT

Candidate profile:
- Ambitious and commercial B2C Services sales professional, seeking a pivotal role in a fast-growth business
- Demonstrable commercial pedigree in relevant settings, experienced in service-driven sales processes
- Commercial and engaging, able to advise and guide as well as lead on service and value-related issues
- Evidence of business growth achieved in B2C markets (Financial or regulated services experience ideal)
- Can develop the customer journey valuably to improve business performance against soft and hard KPI’s
