Empowering Learning are supporting a nationally recognised alternative education provider who has schools based across the UK. They are seeking to appoint a Head of School on a permanent basis, for one of their provisions based in the Merseyside area. The provision supports between 30 - 35 students (KS3 to KS4), who require a nurturing, encouraging and supportive environment. The school consists of a core team of the Head of School, Deputy Headteacher, with a team of specialist teachers and support staff.
As the Head of School, you will be responsible for the day to day running of the school, aswell as helping pupils to either get back into mainstream schools or progress into a sustained Post 16 pathway. You will have support from an executive leadership, who offers dedicated support on pastoral and safeguarding allowing the Head of School to focus on teaching, learning and assessment and overall school direction.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Experience of line management or leadership (Head of Department, SLT experience, Headteacher)
- Degree in your chosen subject and QTS, QTLS or an overseas equivalent.
- Proven track record of raising attainment.
- A proven track record of compliance against policy, process, and standards.

Salary offered: £55,000 - £65,000 (Dependent on experience)
