Head Of Service - Early Help

Remedy Recruitment Group are currently seeking an experienced Head of Service to work for Barking and Dagenham's Targeted Early Help.

Job Purpose

• To lead the Targeted Early Help Service in Barking and Dagenham, through inspirational leadership.
• To advocate for, lead and implement the multi-agency Best Chance, Early Help strategy and action plan.
• To lead and engage partner agencies, that enables greater co-located and integrated working across the three-locality based, Best Chance Hubs, so families and children experienced a more join up service offer, only having to tell their storey once.
• Advocate for and implement evidenced based approaches to delivering earlier, timely and impactful interventions, which support families, children and young people with additional needs, to achieve improved outcomes and prevent the escalation into crisis and statutory services.
• To lead, manage and develop a professional high-quality service ensuring the delivery of the service meets all Council, professional and legislative requirements and within the Cares framework: Compassion, Accountability, Respect, Empowerment, Safe and Seen.
• The service is developing a more integrated model of practice that involves a 'Team around the Family' approach that will be trauma-informed, relational and strengthens based, utilising family group conferencing, Safe and Together and motivational interviewing. The Head of Service will drive the Team Around the Family approach and the role of the Lead Professional across partner agencies.
• To provide visible, inspirational, and clear leadership, including supervision, clear guidance, and rigorous challenge, to ensure that practice is of a high quality, promotes the safeguarding and development of children and young people and can meet the scrutiny of OFSTED by demonstrating that it delivers good outcomes to children and young people.

You will need to be:
