Our client is seeking an experienced Health and Safety Administrator to join their team based in Castle Vale. The Health and Safety Administrator is responsible for ensuring compliance with Health and Safety regulations and policies within an organisation. They will play a crucial role in identifying potential hazards, assessing risks, implementing preventive measures, and fostering a safe and healthy work environment.
Hours for this role are 9am -5pm Monday to Friday.
Duties will include but not be limited to the following:
Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of Health and Safety legislation, regulations, and best practices. Conduct regular inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and areas of non-compliance. Collaborate with department heads and employees to establish and maintain safety-focused policies and procedures. Ensure all employees are appropriately trained on Health and Safety protocols and provide ongoing support and guidance. Investigate accidents and incidents, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective actions to prevent re occurrence. Maintain accurate and up-to-date Health and Safety records, including training logs, accident reports, and inspection findings. Conduct regular safety audits and reviews to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for corrective actions. Provide support and guidance during emergency situations, including the development and implementation of emergency response plans. Assist in the preparation and delivery of Health and Safety training programs and workshops. The ideal candidate will have the following:
Proven experience in Health and Safety administration. In-depth knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and regulations. Strong understanding of risk assessment methodologies and hazard identification techniques. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively engage and influence employees and stakeholders at all levels. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to assess and resolve Health and Safety issues. Detail-oriented with exceptional organisational skills to maintain accurate records and documentation. Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in using relevant software and technology to track and analyse Health and Safety data. Relevant certifications or training in occupational Health and Safety would be advantageous. Benefits:
25 Days Holiday + BH. (calendar year), raising to 28 days after 3 years, and 30 days after 5 years.
