Job Description
Syntech Recruitment are currently looking for a Health and Safety Advisor for one of our long standing clients.
You will be responsible for co-ordinating and support the business with all aspects of Health and Safety, manage standards,
and ensure all polices are adhered to.
Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe workplace environment without risk to health.
• Make sure that all Health, Safety and Environment policies, procedures, rules and regulations are adhered to and are regularly reviewed, updated and communicated.
• Take control of the completion and regular review of risk assessments for all work equipment and operations.
• Make sure that all accidents are documented, investigated and recommended improvements implemented
• .Ensure that safety inspections are carried out, fire drills and fire alarms are correctly reported, safety inspections, risk assessments and lone working procedures are managed, and employees are aware of their responsibilities
• Ensure full and accurate Health and Safety and training records are maintained
• .Keep up to date with all aspects of relevant health, safety & welfare at work legislation and communicate relevant changes to the business.
• Provide regular reports to the Heath, Safety & Environment Manager on relevant Health and Safety activities.
• Any other reasonable duties which may be required by management from time to time.

About you

• Must have at least 3 years relevant experience in a similar role
• NEBOSH qualified or working towards accreditation
• Able to formulate and implement H&S Policies and Procedures
• COSHH Trained
• Able to work on own initiative
• Knowledge of Microsoft packages
• Self motivated
• Flexible
• Excellent written and verbal skills
