The post holder will report to the Assistant Director of Property and Head of Fire Safety, in ensuring the effective management of the Praxis Care Health and Safety and Fire Safety function, and to champion and raise awareness of Health and Safety and fire safety within all four jurisdictions in which Praxis Care operates..

NEBOSH Diploma Recognised Fire Risk Assessment qualificationA minimum of 3 years experience of working within a similar environment and at a similar level.Experience of developing and reviewing health & safety/fire safety policies and procedures, safe systems of work etc. in order to maintain compliance with current and impending legislation.Previous experience of identifying, monitoring and managing corporate health & safety/fire safety risk within a large organisation.Previous experience in the investigation of accidents, incidents including dealing with insurers & legal advisors etc. in respect of employer liability proceedingsAt least 2 years experience in carrying out fire risk assessments.Experience in the gathering, analysing and reporting on key health and safety/fire safety data/statistics.An in-depth working knowledge of health & safety/fire safety legislative requirements within UK & ROI.A well-developed understanding of how to successfully implement, deliver and maintain health and safety/fire compliance requirements.Demonstrable ability to use well developed communication skills to present complex/sensitive information in an understandable way to staff at all levels together with well-founded and developed decision making skills.IT Skills competent in the use of Microsoft Office packages.Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise work effectively.Flexible and cooperative at all times.Ability to work at all levels within the Organisation.Excellent interpersonal communication skills both verbal and written.Ability to work to deadlines and manage own workload.Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
