The KC Group are pleased to be supporting a leading education provider with the Recruitment of a Health and Safety Officer, working on a temporary full time basis In the Coventry area.
Reporting to the Senior Facilities Manager, the purpose of the role is to work with the Facilities Team to promote a positive Health and Safety Culture across the workplace.
To be considered for the Health and Safety Officer role you must have:
- Recognised professional Health and Safety qualification
- Hands-on experience in similar or related roles.
- Working knowledge of Health and Safety management processes system.
- Experience of managing the activities of self and/or others.
- Skilled with Excel, word and Microsoft packages
A key overview of the Health and Safety Officer role:
- Assisting the Facilities Team in the management of information systems for the department, monitoring of training, completion of required works and making recommendations for improvements when necessary
- Developing and delivering Health and Safety training
- Arranging Health and Safety inspections, audits and specific risk assessments.
- Ensuring the provision of First Aiders and Fire Wardens across all locations
- Accurately record department documentation onto management system.
- Provide detailed, expert advice on related Health and Safety matters.
- Supporting the Facilities Manager in meeting customer expectations
- Assisting the Facilities Manager in expanding the existing Health and Safety policy provision and Improve Service delivery
- Produce and implement new Health and Safety policies and procedures
- Liaising with key stakeholders and departments
Key Information for the Health and Safety Officer Role Includes:
- £15.40 per hour
- Temporary, Full-Time Role
