This is a full-time, permanent position offered remotely.
CISV International is a global organisation dedicated to educating and inspiring for peace through building inter-cultural friendship, cooperation, and understanding. Founded in 1950, today they are a federation of over 60 National Associations with about 200 Chapters or local groups. Through their innovative, fun, non-formal 'learning by doing’ programmes, CISV International helps young participants develop to their full potential as future leaders and active citizens, to make a difference in their communities and the world.
Reporting to the International Safeguarding and Risk Management Lead, the Health and Safety Officer will support the strengthening of CISV’s safety culture and procedures. The focus of this role a combination of behavioural and cultural transformation, bringing Health and Safety regulations to life. The position will be responsible for responding to and investigating H&S related incidents. As Health and Safety Officer, you will be responsible for the development of a Health and Safety Operational Plan that will help develop and implement procedures across all regions and help develop the Health and Safety resources shared with all volunteer Risk Managers on Share Point.
To be successful you will have exceptional people skills, with an ability to nurture relationships with multiple stakeholders at all levels. You will have significant Health and Safety experience, and it will be beneficial to have a NEBOSH general certificate. You will have experience in case and risk management, able to work effectively with volunteer teams remotely. We are searching for a proactive and available individual, who is both supportive and patient. A service orientated and stakeholder focused outlook is essential - along with an openness to new cultures and commitment to diversity and inclusion.
