Key Responsibilities: As a Health and Social Care Teacher, your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering dynamic and engaging Health and Social Care lessons that align with the curriculum.
- Encouraging students to understand Health and Social Care needs and themes with curiosity and critical thinking.
- Assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback to support their Health and Social Care knowledge and analytical skills.
- Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes Health and Social Care inquiry and discussion.
- Collaborating with colleagues to enhance the Health and Social Care curriculum and extracurricular activities.
Requirements: To excel in this role, you should have:
- Be proactive, energetic, kind and caring
- An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to go through the process with us)
- A full checkable work history
- A relevant degree in Health and Social Care, or a related subject
- A qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent
- Previous experience in teaching Health and Social Care at a secondary level
- A good knowledge of the national curriculum and current Health and Social Care issues
- A compassionate and empathetic approach to teaching and learning
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
