Filey Surgery is offering an excellent opportunity to join our busy and friendly clinical team as a Healthcare Assistant (HCA). You will be required to support the practice nursing team in the delivery of clinical services, working as part of the practice multi-disciplinary team, delivering care within their scope of practice to the entitled patient population.
The Healthcare Assistant will deliver and assist clinical staff in the provision of treatment, preventative care, health promotion and patient education.
You will be a caring and dedicated professional who is flexible and able to work independently under minimal supervision. You are expected to undertake tasks such as Phlebotomy, INR monitoring, BP monitoring, ECG's, wound management & vaccinations.
The post holder will need to have or work towards an NVQ level 2 in Health & Social Care. Experience in General Practice is desirable.
Our Practice Team members support the extended access rota and as such you will be required on occasion to work evening or weekend shifts.
