We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and skilled Business Support Officer to work within UKHSA South East Region on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be proactive and motivated and have a sound knowledge of key business operation functions and strong experience within this. You will join a team that is already established. You will offer daily support to Health Protection Operation Teams. Your work will be based on the current demands, and you will need to adapt quickly to cope with various challenges.
You will be a highly motivated person with a professional and welcoming manner, who can build relationships quickly and effectively with both staff and external colleagues. You must be highly organised and computer literate with an excellent understanding of Microsoft Office, in particular for Word, Excel and Outlook to an Intermediate Level.
The post holder will be expected to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team providing a wide range of specific operational support duties.
The successful candidate will be based at our UKHSA Fareham Office (Civic Offices, Civic Way, Fareham, PO16 7AZ). Hybrid working will be available subject to manager approval and business needs, you will be expected to be in the office 60% of your time.

Responsibilities section:
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate strong experience in team administration, and Business Support in line with the job description, some key areas of work will include:
- Offer comprehensive administrative support to teams across the region
- Lead and act as a central coordinating point of contact for a range of business administration activities
- Ensure or offer organisation of meetings and events and production of reports, papers, minutes and updating action logs as required
- Support the development of systems and procedures where necessary to ensure efficiency, quality and cost effectiveness
- Participate in relevant internal working groups/projects, services and initiatives
- Undertake project support responding to information requests and other tasks which will involve meeting tight deadlines and may include using digital tools
- Provide support and information to aid effective management of budgets
- Work to maintain and manage (with clinical colleagues) accurate and timely rotas for the service
- Offer PA support to specific staff members (either routinely or as a resilience)
- Contribute to effective information management (including maintaining administrative and information resources.
