Role: Health, Safety and Environmental Manager
Salary: £45,000 - £57,000
Location: Tadcaster/Hybrid
Hours: 3 month fixed term contract, Monday-Friday, Hybrid

The role:
The interim or fixed term contract HSE Manager will manage compliance with ISO45001/ ISO14001 and formulate policies in line with regulations. Taking responsibility for leading initiatives, you’ll head up fire safety compliance, regulatory compliance, waste management, risk assessments, and provision of training to protect and engage our clients colleagues. As point of escalation, you’ll take a lead role in incident/accident investigations and manage statutory responses.
You’ll be a person who enjoys identifying areas/policies for development and proposing solutions. Taking a lead in audits and inspections and in liaising with colleagues in Supply Chain and Operations, you’ll employ strong communication skills, building effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. These range from field-based technicians, warehouse operatives, to the customers and Board Members. You will be someone who thrives in driving simplicity as we minimise complexity throughout our business.
The successful candidate:
- NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety or equivalent (minimum NVQ Level 5)
- IOSH membership to CertIOSH or CMISOH level with strong knowledge of ISO45001 and ISO4001
- Experience as a Health, Safety and Environmental Manager, leading an ESG agenda.
- A flexible, adaptable approach and comfortable working in complex, fast paced environments.
- The ability to undertake some UK travel as appropriate.
- Availability to start an interim or fixed term contract appointment of at least three months, on or before 20th March 2024
