CXC are delighted to be working with a leading organisation in their search for a Health Safety Environment & Quality Managerfor their Birmingham site.
The successful candidate will be the Lead with the functions of the HSEQ department, reporting to the Senior HSEQ Manager. They will also be responsible for assisting with and delivering HSEQ excellence, and providing professional health and safety support and advice to the company.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Completing internal audits as appropriate and as per the scheduled programme as well as operational and depot audits to ensure health and safety best practice and legal compliance
- Enforcing the correct use of safe systems/ methods of working
- Identify and investigate HSE incidents and report to HSE Management
- Assisting with the development and continual improvement of safe systems of work
- Monitoring HSE reporting and identify any trends through Safety Observation Reports and Audits
- Monitoring employee health and mental health well-being
- Identifying any employee training needs
- Revising processes, reports etc to identify hidden risks or non-conformity issues
- Monitoring HSEQ performance from other departments and assisting where needed
- Assisting with regular employee consultation meetings
- Preparing reports and analysis for senior management as required

Experience:
You should have a minimum 2 years Health and Safety experience in a safety critical company or the construction industry.

Qualifications:
- NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety preferable.
- IOSH Managing Safely preferable.
Salary: £45,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
