SalaryEscape Recruitment are supporting our client, a global manufacturing company, who are looking to hire a Health and Safety Manager to join their team. This position will predominantly be based in the Fife area, with occasional travel to their mainland Europe site.
The role
- Transform the safety culture, increasing engagement and participation across all levels of the business
- Understanding and practical experience of H&S legislation translating standards into best practice policies and procedures
- Carry out audits, evaluating health and safety procedures and systems identifying areas for improvement and implementing new strategies
- Investigate incidents and accidents, identifying root cause and taking the necessary steps to prevent recurrence
- Working with managers and key business areas to update and create risk assessments, audit reviews and continuous health and safety monitoring
About you
- Hold a recognised health and safety qualification (NEBOSH or similar)
- Experience within a manufacturing, production or process environment within a similar role.
- Leading from the front, demonstratable record of initiating safety improvements and supporting the workforce
- Experience of analysis of onsite incidents and corrective and preventative action plans
- Effective communicator with great attention to detail
