REED Engineering & Manufacturing are working with fast growing FMCG/Distribution company who are growing year on year
H&S Manager (FMCG/Wholesale & Warehouse Distribution)
Key responsibilities include:
- Working with the senior management team to deliver a Health & Safety Strategy
- Conducting risk assessments, ensuring legal compliance, mitigating environmental risk & monitoring compliance to current legislation.
- Developing and updating resources with the Peninsula (Bright Safe) system.
- Focusing on continuous improvement through capturing the correct operational process data and feedback / report to the business making recommendations
- Recommending & implementing site improvement projects.
- Maintaining the existing HSE system & suggesting changes in order to improve it further
- Conduct internal audits of the facilities to ensure all procedures and processes are working as intended
- Liaising with the site operation & management teams to promote a Health & Safety conscious way of thinking
- Providing, recommending or requesting training in matters relating to Health & Safety matters
The Successful Applicant
A Health & Safety specialist with first-hand experience of driving Health & Safety improvement projects within a manufacturing/food or distribution environment. The successful applicant will have:
- NEBOSH certificate
- Minimum 5 years experience
- Experience conducting risk assessments
- Experience recommending & supporting in the implementation Health & Safety improvement plans
- The ability to work effectively cross functionally & all levels
- The ability to drive consistent improvements across multiple projects
- Clean UK driving license
