Salary: £12.00-£13.75 per hour offering double hourly rate for bank holidays
Job description:
- Assisting other members of staff with giving care
- To promote and assist individuals to maintain their personal hygiene, cleanliness and appearance
- Assisting the individuals with daily living activities such as eating, showering and using the toilet
- Utilising equipment to move individuals when necessary
- Helping tidy the individual s home or room
- Taking the individuals vital signs such as blood pressure and temperature
- Talking to individuals and reassuring them
As a Healthcare assistant you will need to:
- Be able to effectively communicate with individuals
- Have compassion, empathy and understanding
- Have a positive friendly energy
- Reliable
- Wear a uniform
- Undertake any other appropriate duties as required by the individual(s) that you support, perform all duties in accordance with the organisation s policies and procedures.
- Be aware of, and follow the procedure for, reporting any safeguarding concerns or incidents, keep accurate records
- Ensure the health, safety, and welfare of the individuals you support and your colleagues
