As a Healthcare Assistant you will deliver care and support to people with terminal illnesses whilst also offering vital emotional support for their families.
With your expertise in End of Life care, you're prepared and capable of making a tangible impact. Our approach is personalised, ensuring ample meaningful interaction with patients and their families, often within their homes. Operating independently, you'll have the chance to exercise your own initiative in alignment with the patient's established care plan.
You'll be required to carry out a range of care duties including helping patients meet their hygiene needs, monitoring symptoms, assisting with medications and keeping detailed records and emotional support to the patient and their families.

What we are looking for:
- S/NVQ Level 2/3 qualification or an equivalent certificate/diploma is desirable
- Interpersonal/Communication skills
- Emotional strength, patience, and the ability to work on your own are crucial, though we will of course provide excellent on-going training and support.
- Continued access to NHS Pension Scheme (subject to eligibility)
- Current valid driving licence allowing you to drive in the UK and the use of a car insured for business use is essential
- End-of-life care experience is advantageous, but not essential as training will be provided and opportunity to learn on the job
- Providing vital psychosocial & emotional support to patients and their families
- Monitoring symptoms and assisting with medication
- Keeping detailed patient records
- Assisting patients in the performance of daily activities
- Providing end of life and immediate after death care
