Job description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 3 Healthcare Support Worker to join our team here in Ward 1 St Andrews Community Hospital. Ward 1 forms part of a network of Community Hospitals within NHS Fife, supporting the rehabilitation of the older adult, palliative care and facilitating complex discharge planning.
You will be joining a well established and highly experienced multidisciplinary team. Within your role as a Healthcare Support Worker, you will demonstrate a passion for caring for the older person and supporting them in conjunction with the multi-disciplinary team to promote a positive patient and family centered journey from admission to discharge
If successful in your application, you will be offered the opportunity to undertake an SVQ2 or SVQ3 (dependent on band) in Health and Social Care, approximately 9 months after taking up post. It is expected that you complete this qualification, which will be fully funded by NHS Fife. Your Line Manager will provide you with more information once you are in post.
