Job Summary: We need any HTC Advisers
Citizens Advice Portsmouth has delivered the Help to Claim service since it began. Our team of advisers lead the service across Hampshire, Isle of Wight, Dorset, and Wiltshire.
Our team members mostly work remotely, advising assisting new claimants of Universal Credit, up until their first correct payment. Our service is delivered by telephone and webchat as part of the national Help to Claim service, with video calling to be introduced later this year.
As a Help to Claim adviser, you will be responsible for providing high quality advice to your clients. You will confirm clients’ eligibility for Universal Credit, and the amount they are entitled to. You will assist clients to make a claim for Universal Credit where appropriate, ensuring they are confident in reaching their first payment. You will also be responsible for identifying additional support they could receive.
In order to carry out your role, you will have access to a team of supervisors and a range of resources. You will also receive training before you begin advising clients.
The Help to Claim service is available 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday. The role is available with fully remote option, home working, or mix of both.
