HGV Mechanic Responsibilities:

As a Commercial Vehicle Technician, you'll be reporting to the Shift Supervisor and be responsible for:

• Undertaking maintenance and repair activities on a variety of commercial vehicles and trailers.
• Diagnosing faults, conducting tests, and executing permanent and complete repairs.
• Completing paperwork and procedures related to warranty, contract, and retail work.
• Performing preventative maintenance to minimize unnecessary customer costs.
• Any other duties reasonably within your capabilities as instructed by your manager.

HGV Mechanic Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

• City & Guilds or equivalent qualification to NVQ level 3, preferably in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance.
• Experience in diagnosing, servicing, and repairing vehicles, with a focus on Commercial Vehicles.
• An organized and methodical approach to problem-solving with attention to detail.
• Undertaken manufacturers training courses and maintained knowledge of work methods and technical data.
• Full and current UK driving licence (LGV licence preferred but not essential).
• A friendly, confident, and professional manner with excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure, both as part of a team and independently.

HGV Mechanic Package:

• Salary £35000 - £51000 pa depending on experience and time of shift
• Day and night shifts available depending on your preference
