Day Shift HGV Technician
Location: Cardiff
Hours: 40 hour shift pattern: 06.00am-14.30pm and 14.00pm-22.30pm with alternate Saturday mornings.
Salary - Up to £18.50 per hour (40 hours) with time and a half for Saturday mornings, you could be earning £41,000+ with overtime on top.

We are seeking a skilled and experienced HGV Technician to join our client's workshop in Cardiff. Our client specialises in fleet vehicles including transits, sprinters, and various other LCVs. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various vehicles, including trucks and vans. This position requires a strong understanding of automotive systems and the ability to use diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve complex problems. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cars and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.

HGV Technician Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair vehicle problems, including engine, transmission, brake, suspension, and electrical issues
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections
• Use diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve complex issues
• Keep accurate records of all work performed and parts used
• Communicate with customers about vehicle issues and repair recommendations
• Maintain a clean and organized work areaKeep up-to-date with the latest automotive technology and repair techniques

HGV Technician Requirements:

• NVQ Level 3 equivalent or higher
• At least 1 year of experience as a vehicle technician
• Ability to use diagnostic tools and software
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Valid driver's license
