Higher Level Teaching Assistant
Area: Northampton
Salary: (Apply online only) per day (varied depending on experience and qualifications)
Hours of work: 8:30am - 3:30pm, 3-4 days p/week

Monarch Education are recruiting a Higher Level Teaching Assistant that will be working throughout the Primary age range - Early Years, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 in schools within the Northampton area. You will be responsible for providing support to teachers, assisting in the delivery of the curriculum, and leading small group sessions.
You will be covering lessons in a number of different schools across Northampton, so must be flexible.
Responsibilities:
- Support the teacher in planning, preparing, and delivering high-quality lessons
- Lead small group sessions, including interventions, for students who need additional support
- Provide one-to-one support for students who require additional help
- Manage and supervise the classroom in the absence of the teacher
- Support the teacher in assessing and monitoring student progress
- Contribute to the development of schemes of work and resources
- Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required
- Support the school's ethos and values
- Provide pastoral support to students as required
Requirements:
- Experience working as a Cover Teacher, HLTA or in a similar role in an educational setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents
- Good organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- A patient and positive approach to working with students
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
- A willingness to work flexibly and as part of a team
